Lets Talk

The goal of this series is not to get everyone to agree or to reach any decisions about actions going forward. Our hope is to share conversation for a better understanding of the community and world around us. We have a wide variety of experiences, and it is through sharing our stories that we are all enriched. All are welcome.

4th Sunday of the month from noon to 1:30pm

  • August 28 – Racism & Black Lives Matter
  • September 25 – Islam & Muslims
  • October 23 – Immigration

Future topics include Transgender/Gender Issues, Guns/Violence and other topics guided by current events. A soup and salad lunch will be provided.

People have been gathering in pubs and public spaces for ages, talking about life, philosophy, faith and deep questions of meaning. The format is simple: beverages, conversation and God. Bring your questions, your curiosity and pull up a chair. Be ready to engage with people of varying religious traditions, philosophical perspectives and life experiences. You’ll be able to share your own wrestlings and thoughts while learning something new along the way. All adults are welcome.

Last Wednesday of each month from 6-8pm at Ralph & Ava’s Cafe at 6 W. Main Street in Mooresville.

Heart to Heart Small

Heart to Heart

The intention of the group is to create a circle of caring while exploring faith conversations. We will begin each session with a centering activity, and then look at an essay or chapter in a book chosen by the group. We will begin looking at Anne Lamott’s Traveling Mercies. All women are welcome.

3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:00 • Childcare provided.

Sometimes females need to talk to females. This group is a circle of caring as well as one of learning and service. We will work toward connecting girls with their inner wisdom and process with them words and actions consistent with a life of faith. Girls 13-18 are welcome.

4th Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm

Disciples WomenChristian Women’s Fellowship
First Wednesday of the month at 9:30am.

The Study is titled:  Celebrate: Discovering Joy in  Life’s Ordinary Moments.

Women spend so much of their lives waiting to be happy. “When I meet Mr. Right “.” . . when the kids are grown . . . when I retire “.” . .” What are you waiting for? Right here, right now, even in the midst of the challenges you face every day, there is so much to appreciate and enjoy. It’s a matter of perspective-knowing where (and how) to look for the blessings God has given us. Join us and start noticing the joys hiding in plain sight. You’ll find there’s plenty to celebrate

Through this study, women will discover the hidden joys in life’s circumstances, learn to live with an attitude of gratitude, and find the secrets to contentment and hope.

For youth in junior high and high school – this group combines a time of devotion and study with community outreach and simple fun.
